It was interesting to hear Chris’ (her husband’s) remarks. I think most people have no idea what we do when we teach children how to read. He is a perfect example. He couldn’t understand what it was. Then I explained it to him and he thought it was really cool.

My daughter is about halfway through this program. She was sounding out simple words prior to entering kindergarten, and now one month into kindergarten she impressed the teacher enough for the teacher to send her to the principal to show how well she read. This program is so simple to use. I like that there are instructional videos to help out and explain the criteria. We were fortunate enough to be able to meet with the instructor. And I truly believe that he is dedicated and excited to teach these little sponges (children) to read. I wish I would have found this program sooner. My second grader benefits from it, as well. I enjoy the fact that this is something that I can engage in with my children. 10-15 minutes a day, and we've already began to see the difference it makes.

I chose this class because as a Homeschool Mom of an elementary age child, I am always looking for creative teaching techniques. I liked the look of the class with the chalk board background. I liked the fact the Instructor encouraged questions throughout the class on the message board. I could relate to the use of rewards to encourage a reading commitment. I learned there was more than one rule to the silent e. The Instructor teaches from the view of a Reading Tutor and a patient Dad. I would highly recommend this class.
